DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last Updated: August 4, 2026

Candle respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how to report copyright infringement on the Candle Services, how to respond if your content is removed, and what happens to accounts that repeatedly infringe.

This policy is issued under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

Send DMCA notices to Candle’s designated agent:

AgentCopyright Agent, 7 Candlesticks, Inc.
Address201 S Las Vegas Blvd #95, Las Vegas, NV 89101, USA

The United States Copyright Office’s public DMCA Designated Agent Directory is authoritative as to whether Candle has an active designation and when it must be renewed. Candle must ensure the directory entry and the contact information on this page match before representing that an active designation exists.

To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must be in writing and include substantially the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed — or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list;
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it. For Candle this means a direct URL to the stream, video, clip, chat message, profile, or token page;
  4. Your contact information — name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

  1. We review the notice for completeness. Incomplete notices may be rejected, and we will say why.
  2. Where the notice is effective, we remove or disable access to the identified material expeditiously.
  3. We notify the user who posted it, forwarding a copy of the notice — including the information it contains, which may include your name and contact details.
  4. We record a copyright strike against the account.

For a live stream, we may terminate the broadcast in progress where a valid notice is received during it.

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or a misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to legal@candle.tv containing substantially the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the material removed and the location at which it appeared before removal;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number;
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the district in which your address is located — or, if outside the United States, for any district in which Candle may be found — and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice, or their agent.

What happens next. We forward your counter-notification to the original complainant. Unless they notify us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days of receiving your counter-notification.

Candle terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

In determining whether termination is appropriate, Candle may consider the number and timing of infringement notices, whether notices concern distinct works or repeated conduct, withdrawals and counter-notifications, the user’s knowledge and conduct, and the seriousness of the infringement. No fixed strike count guarantees continued access or requires automatic termination without an individualized review.

We may terminate an account immediately, without progressing through the schedule above, in cases of egregious or manifestly wilful infringement — including streaming a commercial broadcast, film, or live sporting event without authorization.

Circumventing a termination by creating a new account is a separate violation of the Terms of Service.

This policy covers copyright. For misuse of Candle’s own marks, see the Trademark Guidelines.

To report trademark infringement by a user, including a token launched using a name, logo, or brand you own, email legal@candle.tv with:

  • the mark, and evidence of your rights in it (registration number where applicable);
  • the URL of the token page, profile, stream, or content at issue;
  • an explanation of why the use is likely to cause confusion; and
  • your contact details.

To report use of your name, image, or likeness — including a token or profile impersonating you — email legal@candle.tv. Impersonation is separately prohibited by the Community Guidelines.
