Community Guidelines

Candle is a place where crypto culture gets made, traded, and broadcast. These Guidelines set the line between that and behaviour that harms other people.
They apply everywhere on the Candle Services — streams, video, clips, chat, profiles, usernames, token names, token images, and anything else you put in front of another user. They are incorporated into the Terms of Service.
Breaking them can cost you your content, your streaming privileges, or your account.
What is not allowed

Section titled “Fraud and financial harm”This is a platform where people spend money. Deceiving them is the most serious thing you can do here.
- Rug pulls and exit scams — launching a token with the intent to abandon it and extract value
- Honeypots — tokens engineered so buyers cannot sell
- Market manipulation — pump-and-dump coordination, wash trading, spoofing, ramping, front-running
- Impersonating a project, person, or brand to give a token or stream false credibility
- Fake claims about partnerships, endorsements, listings, audits, team members, or backing
- Guaranteed returns — promising or implying that a token will rise, or that a return is assured
- Phishing — fake mints, fake airdrops, drainer links, seed-phrase requests
- Undisclosed paid promotion. If you are paid to promote a token, say so, clearly and in the content itself
Violence and dangerous behaviour
Section titled “Violence and dangerous behaviour”- Threats of violence against anyone
- Incitement or glorification of violence, terrorism, or mass harm
- Violent extremist content, or material supporting a designated terrorist organisation
- Content depicting or encouraging self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
- Dangerous acts likely to cause serious injury to yourself or others
If you are struggling, please reach out to a crisis line in your country. Candle is not a substitute for one.
Hate and harassment
Section titled “Hate and harassment”- Attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, disease, age, sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
- Slurs and dehumanising language
- Targeted harassment, pile-ons, and brigading
- Sexual harassment, unwanted sexual advances, and sexualising someone without consent
- Doxxing — publishing private information about anyone without their consent
- Stalking, or persistent unwanted contact
- Encouraging others to do any of the above
Content involving minors
Section titled “Content involving minors”Absolutely prohibited, without exception:
- Any sexualised depiction of a minor
- Grooming, or attempts to contact a minor for sexual purposes
- Content that endangers a minor’s safety
We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement, and we permanently terminate the accounts involved. There is no appeal.
Adult and graphic content
Section titled “Adult and graphic content”- Pornography and explicit sexual content
- Nudity, except where clearly incidental and non-sexual
- Gratuitous gore, or real-world violence presented for shock value
- Content depicting cruelty to animals
Illegal activity
Section titled “Illegal activity”- Trafficking in drugs, weapons, stolen goods, stolen credentials, or people
- Selling access to hacked accounts, exploits, or stolen data
- Money laundering, sanctions evasion, or terrorist financing
- Any other conduct that breaks the law where you are or where we operate
Intellectual property
Section titled “Intellectual property”- Streaming or uploading content you do not have the rights to — film, TV, music, games, or live sport
- Using someone else’s name, logo, artwork, or likeness for a token, profile, or stream without permission

Platform abuse
Section titled “Platform abuse”- Circumventing bans, suspensions, or geographic restrictions
- Attempting to defeat the Believer NFT gate or any other access control
- Botting, view-botting, or artificially inflating engagement
- Spam, including repetitive chat, unsolicited links, and mass unsolicited promotion
- Exploiting bugs rather than reporting them — see Vulnerability Disclosure
- Selling, buying, or transferring Candle accounts
Extra expectations for creators
Section titled “Extra expectations for creators”Streaming on Candle is invite-only, and approval carries obligations beyond these Guidelines. In particular:
- Disclose your position. If you hold, launched, or were paid to promote a token you discuss on stream, say so on stream.
- Do not present speculation as fact, and do not tell your audience what a token will do.
- Moderate your chat. You are responsible for what happens in your channel.
- Do not use exclusive segments to hide conduct that would breach these Guidelines in public.

How we enforce

Section titled “What we look at”Context matters. We weigh severity, intent, whether the conduct is repeated, whether it was directed at a specific person, and whether real financial harm resulted. Educational, documentary, satirical, and newsworthy content is treated differently from the same material presented approvingly.
What we can do

| Suspend or terminate an account | Serious violations, or repeated violations after warning |
| Report to law enforcement | Illegal conduct, particularly involving minors or fraud |
Severe violations — child safety, credible threats, deliberate fraud against users — result in immediate permanent termination without a warning step.
Appeals
Section titled “Appeals”If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, email legal@candle.tv within 30 days, with APPEAL at the start of the subject line. Include your account or wallet address, what was actioned, and why you think it was a mistake. We review and respond in writing.
Decisions involving child safety are not appealable.
Reporting a violation
Section titled “Reporting a violation”Reports go to legal@candle.tv, or through the in-product report control. Start your subject line with the relevant word so it reaches the right person quickly:

Include a URL, the account involved, and what happened. We do not disclose the outcome of a report about another user, but we do act on it.
Changes
Section titled “Changes”We update these Guidelines as the platform changes and as we learn where the lines need to be. Material changes are announced. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
