Creator Agreement
Last Updated: August 4, 2026
This agreement applies to you if Candle has approved you to stream on the Candle Services. It is in addition to the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, which continue to apply in full.
If anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service, this agreement governs for approved creators.
1. Approval
Section titled “1. Approval”Streaming on Candle is invite-only. Approval is granted at Candle’s sole discretion, may consider your linked social accounts and audience, and may be revoked at any time, for any reason.
Approval is not a job, an engagement, or a promise of anything. You are not an employee, contractor, partner, agent, or joint venturer of Candle, and nothing here creates such a relationship. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and any registrations your activity requires.
Approval is personal to you. You may not transfer it, sell it, or let anyone else broadcast under your account.
2. Your content
Section titled “2. Your content”You retain ownership of your streams and content, subject to the licence you grant Candle in section 8 of the Terms of Service.
You warrant that you hold all rights necessary for everything you broadcast — including music, video, games, artwork, footage, and any third-party material. Playing music you have not licensed is the most common way creators generate copyright claims. See the DMCA & Copyright Policy.
You are responsible for everything that appears in your stream, including what guests say and what appears on your screen.
3. Recording, restreaming, and distribution
Section titled “3. Recording, restreaming, and distribution”You agree that Candle may:
- record, store, and publish your streams as video on demand;
- create and distribute clips;
- restream your broadcast to Candle’s own social channels, including X;
- use excerpts, stills, and clips to promote the Candle Services;
- use your name, username, likeness, and voice in connection with the above.
Deleting a stream does not retract copies already shared, clipped by others, or used in promotion, and does not oblige Candle to recall them.
4. Exclusive segments
Section titled “4. Exclusive segments”You may mark portions of a stream as exclusive to Believer NFT holders.
Exclusive segments are subject to the same rules as public content. Gating is not privacy, and it is not a shield: the Community Guidelines apply identically inside them.
5. Financial content — read this carefully
Section titled “5. Financial content — read this carefully”You are streaming on a platform where viewers trade in real time on what you say. That creates obligations.
Nothing you say on Candle is Candle’s statement. You are solely responsible for your statements and for any liability arising from them, and you indemnify Candle under section 33(a) of the Terms of Service.
6. Moderating your channel
Section titled “6. Moderating your channel”You are responsible for your chat. You must moderate it, or appoint moderators who do, and you must act on conduct breaching the Community Guidelines in your channel.
Persistently unmoderated channels may lose streaming privileges.
7. Tips and monetisation
Section titled “7. Tips and monetisation”Tips are direct wallet-to-wallet transfers governed by the Tipping Terms. Candle does not process them, does not take a fee on them, and does not guarantee them.
Where a launch you are associated with designates you as a fee recipient, that arrangement is on-chain and its terms are whatever the contracts implement. Candle does not guarantee any amount, any distribution, or any timing, and may change or discontinue creator fee arrangements.
You are responsible for taxes on everything you receive.
8. Simulcasting
Section titled “8. Simulcasting”You may stream simultaneously on other platforms, provided you:
- maintain equivalent quality on Candle;
- do not direct Candle viewers to watch elsewhere; and
- do not merge another platform’s chat or features into your Candle stream.
9. Advertising
Section titled “9. Advertising”You may not run third-party ad networks in your stream. Branded Content is permitted under section 9 of the Terms of Service, subject to the disclosure obligations in section 5 above.
10. Suspension and termination
Section titled “10. Suspension and termination”Candle may suspend or terminate a live broadcast, suspend streaming privileges, revoke creator status, or terminate your account — with or without notice — for breach of this agreement, the Terms of Service, or the Community Guidelines, or where required by law.
Candle may terminate a stream in progress on receipt of a valid copyright notice.
You may stop streaming at any time. Sections concerning licences granted to Candle, indemnification, disclaimers, and liability survive.
11. Appeals
Section titled “11. Appeals”To appeal a creator enforcement decision, email legal@candle.tv within 30 days, with APPEAL at the start of the subject line.
12. No guarantee
Section titled “12. No guarantee”Candle does not guarantee viewers, discovery, promotion, featuring, notification of your streams, uptime, video quality, or income. Candle may change or discontinue streaming entirely.
