Tiers, pricing & limits

Four tiers. Qualification is earned through CNDL or a Max agreement, and every limit below is what enforcement actually applies.

  • Believer: hold a Believer NFT when you create a key.
  • Pro: stake 500,000 CNDL or hold 1,000,000 CNDL. Either path alone is enough. Current thresholds are always shown on your dashboard with live progress toward both.
  • Max: $1,000/month in USDC. For high-volume agent operators. Approval and renewal are handled by the Candle team; Max is granted for a period and expires unless renewed. Contact the team from the dashboard’s Max card.

Your key is issued with baseline caps, and your live tier raises them as floors: enforcement uses the higher of the key’s own value and the tier floor, per dimension. The dashboard shows the effective numbers with a freshness stamp, plus what the key was issued with. A hand-raised key is never lowered by tier changes.

Believer caps are applied when a key is created. If you mint the NFT after creating a key, that key keeps its earlier issuance limits: create a replacement key to receive the higher Believer caps. Your existing key does not upgrade automatically. The dashboard detects this and offers a replacement flow; your old key stays active until you revoke it yourself.

Pro that lapses (stake unwound, balance dipped) does not cut off instantly: a 48-hour grace window holds Pro while you restore either qualification. The dashboard shows a countdown with the exact expiry; the API reports the deadline (grace.endsAt) so your agent can react too.

GET /api/v1/agent/tier returns your display and live tier, staked/held CNDL, thresholds, grace state with its deadline, tier cap floors, fee rate, lifetime fee totals, and Max pricing. Key create/list responses carry per-key issued and effective caps. Reference: Agent access & API keys.
