Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: August 1, 2026

Candle wants everyone to be able to use the platform, including people who use assistive technology.

This statement describes where we are, honestly, and how to reach us if something is in your way.

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA across candle.tv and the Candle applications.

We do not currently claim full conformance. Candle is a fast-moving product with live video, real-time data, and charting, and parts of it fall short. We would rather say that than publish a claim we cannot support.

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA attributes so screen readers can interpret the interface
  • Keyboard navigation for primary flows, including a visible focus indicator
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons
  • Colour contrast targets applied across the interface
  • Layouts that reflow and remain usable when zoomed or on small screens
  • Support for reduced-motion preferences, so animation can be limited by your system setting
  • Video playback with standard player controls

We are aware of the following, and are working on them:

AreaIssue
ChartsTrading charts are canvas-based and are not fully exposed to screen readers. Numeric data is available in the surrounding interface.
Live chatRapid message flow is difficult to follow with a screen reader, and announcements may be excessive during busy streams.
Live videoLivestreams do not currently carry captions. Some archived video lacks captions.
Real-time price updatesFrequently updating values may be announced repeatedly by some assistive technology.
Motion and animationSome transitions remain where reduced-motion preferences are not fully honoured.
Third-party componentsWallet connection dialogs and some embedded components are provided by third parties, and their accessibility is outside our direct control.
User contentStream titles, token names, images, and uploads are created by users, and we cannot guarantee their accessibility.

Parts of the experience are provided by third parties — wallet dialogs, video delivery, and charting. We choose providers with accessibility in mind and raise issues with them, but we do not control their code.

If you cannot complete an action on the Candle Services because of an accessibility barrier, contact legal@candle.tv with ACCESSIBILITY in the subject line and we will work with you on an alternative.

Note that Candle cannot transact on your behalf, cannot access your wallet, and cannot sign transactions for you. Those limits are structural and apply to everyone.

If you are not satisfied with our response, email legal@candle.tv with subject ACCESSIBILITY COMPLAINT. We will review it at a more senior level and respond in writing.

This statement is based on our own internal review of the Candle Services. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party audit. When we do, we will publish the outcome here.

We review this statement at least annually, and after significant changes to the product.
